A bit about us

Mrs Harrison

I love my job as an ASN teacher at Aboyne Primary and I’ve always worked with children who need extra understanding and support.  I am an outdoor person who is a firm advocate for the restorative qualities of nature, nurture, play and exercise outside.  I designed the Nature Nurture Project intervention with my husband 15 years ago when we lived and worked in Camphill School Aberdeen and have delivered Nature Nurture to hundreds of children since.  I now run Nature Nurture groups in Aboyne Primary and train Aberdeenshire staff in this approach.

Ms McCulloch

I have been teaching at Aboyne for the past five years. And teaching altogether for a very long time! Out of school, I am the very proud mum of my daughter Olivia, who is 13. I enjoy walking, reading, and doing my garden. I love going to the theatre and all kinds of gigs.

Mrs Dennison

In my spare time, I love to run and walk our dog, Wynter. I just love being outside! I also go on very long adventures with my husband on our tandem… it’s a great way to see the countryside 🙂

Mrs K. Dennison

Ms Vickers

I am new to Aboyne this year. I will be working across the school as an Additional Support Needs teacher and as a cover teacher, specialising in the expressive arts. I have always loved music, in fact, my mum used to be a secondary music teacher at Aboyne Academy! I play violin, and flute and am learning piano. My favourite film of all time is the Lion King. This is why my favourite colours are yellow and orange.

Mrs Cranna

I am Elaine Cranna. I have worked at Aboyne Primary School as a PSA for seven years now.  I am also a lifeguard at Aboyne swimming pool. When I am not working I love walking my 2 springer spaniels, going running, reading- and watching movies at home with my husband and kids.

Mrs Farrell

My name is Sharon Walters-Farrell (Mrs Walters) and I am a PSA at the Primary School. I’ve been working in Aboyne for three years, since moving up here with my family from Liverpool. I am married with two children and a dog named Cooper. I love cooking, travel, music dancing and Liverpool Football Club.

Mrs Turley

My name is Abigail Turley, I have been a PSA at Aboyne Primary School for five years. I live in Aboyne with my husband and son. I like to do Pilates and play netball, go camping and hill-walking, reading and going to the cinema. I sing in a choir and love a good ceilidh.

Mrs Finlayson

I am a mum of three amazing children. In my spare time love to spend it with my family, cook, bake and explore the great outdoors. My family all love football, watching it and playing it!
